Return or Change Conditions

This website (nipponlab.pt) is owned and operated by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA, with registered offices a Rua da Gruta da Lomba 320, 4500-407 Espinho, Portugal, NIPC 515 944 963, and will be operated by them.

In Store

The product bought on BBR ENGINEERING, LDA, when returned, should be presented the respective paper or electronic invoice, in a maximum of 30 days.

All returns are made in vouchers at BBR ENGINEERING, LDA with a period of 3 months for its use. No exchanges or refunds are made by cash, transfer or check.

Online Store/ Out of Store

The customer should contact BBR ENGINEERING, LDA before starting the return process. A courier can be sent by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA to collect the product at the address sent before.

The client can send the product too by another shipping company. In both cases, buyer should ensure that the package is correctly packed and include bank account number.

The refund must occur at the time that BBR ENGINEERING, LDA verifies the item condition, presentation and confirmed warranty.

Used Items

Used items should have all the marks done by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA, and they can’t have any external or internal manipulation signals. Any violation detected from original product will immediately cancel warranty and refund process.

In case of return, BBR ENGINEERING, LDA don’t cover any additional cost as immobilized vehicle, labour costs of assembly/disassembly or collection costs.

Special Conditions

Some items have special characteristics – windshields, rear and side glazing – and they must be returned directly in BBR ENGINEERING, LDA store.

Considering that Shipping companies don’t have any responsibility in case of glazing broke as they are being shipped, BBR ENGINNERING, LDA can’t have any responsibility on that too or in any damage done during transport.

Client has total responsibility in any damage presented on every bought parts and refund will not occur.

Warranty Conditions

Every parts have warranty, and its period should be discriminated in every items.

Claims relative to parts condition should be presented before warranty deadline.

Used items should have all the marks done by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA, and they can’t have any external or internal manipulation signals. Any violation detected from original product will immediately cancel warranty and refund process.

In any situation that it’s needed any repair, customer should ask for BBR ENGINEERING, LDA for permission.

After permission request, BBR ENGINEERING, LDA have the rights to allow or decline that repair.

In case of allowed repair, that instruction will be formalized by e-mail or letter, in a way to ensure client interests.

Warranty only covers the value of the item paid plus shipping costs, when the shipping is done by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA.

It doesn’t cover any additional cost as immobilized vehicle, labour costs of assembly/disassembly, collection costs, damage in other parts or auxiliaries not included on sale.

Any part assembled in competition cars don’t have any warranty, as any car with modifications on the original parts or with an inappropriate use. The assembling has to be as OEM specifications. In case of warranty, BBR ENGINEERING, LDA can ask for ECU to data logs analysis by an expertise company.

In case of warranty requested, the part will be always analysed by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA and/or an expertise company.

Will be accepted warranties which part failure has the source of same part. It will not be accepted warranties of failures caused by other parts than the part sold. In case of warranty, BBR ENGINEERING, LDA can choose any of the three next measures:

  1. Repair the part;
  2. Change for a compatible part;
  3. Refund part and shipping value when the shipping is done by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA.

A contagem para tempo de garantia é feita a partir da data da venda do produto, segundo fatura da BBR ENGINEERING, LDA.

In case of parts delivered by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA transport company, the warranty days start to count since the item arrives to client.

Engines and Gearboxes Warranty Conditions

Engine’s warranty does not cover any failure of timing belt or water pump and the change of these parts are extremely recommended, unless engines that BBR ENGINEERING, LDA expressly communicates that this maintenance was already done.

Engines, Gearboxes, Differentials and other parts that use oil as lubricant, will be delivered without any oil.

It’s client responsibility to add new oil and every filters and oil pump as well, according to OEM specifications.

The engines marketed by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA have a 3-month Commercial Warranty.

JDM engines and transmissions sold by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA are tested before being removed from the donor vehicle and have a 30-day Commercial Warranty from the moment of delivery (30 day start-up warranty).

Gearboxes that were sold by BBR ENGINEERING, LDA have 3 months of commercial warranty.

The warranty only and exclusively covers block and cylinder head. All peripherals and consumables are excluded from warranty (spark plugs, coils, gaskets, sensors, clutches, single-mass and dual mass flywheel, alternator, AC compressors, PS pumps, etc.)

Other parts have 30 days of warranty.

When a purchase is formalized means that client is aware and understood all the conditions expressed in this document and fully accepted by client. Under the terms of Lay no. 144/2015, we must inform: “In the event of a dispute, the consumer my contact the Arbitration Center of the Automotive Sector, with a website at www.centroarbitragemsectorauto.pt and head office at Av. da República, nº 44 – 3º Esq, 1050-194 Lisboa”
